History
Ferme de la Chapelle was built in the early 17th century. For a long time, it was known as ‘Maison Bellamy’, after its last owners. The City of Lancy acquired the estate in 1978 and completely renovated it in the early 1980s. It was at this time that the ruins of the former chapel, which dates back to the mid-17th century, were rediscovered and showcased in the garden.
After being used briefly as a community centre, Ferme de la Chapelle became an art gallery in 1985/86, then an art space under its current management since 2007.
