Liquid co-existence, in divenire

The use of organic pigmentation and materials and modelling and transmutation of biodegradable elements, subtly link the two artists invited for this exhibition.
Fabrics are coloured by plants, translucent pieces have been obtained from kombucha, seaweed and ash. Viola Poli creates ceramic sculptures from urban elements which are made to cohabit with collected and transformed plants. The effect is a strange osmosis within which these diverse elements seem to take on a life, spreading autonomously and colonising the exhibition spaces.
This fluidity is echoed in Valentin Merle’s large-scale textiles printed with repetitive forms where the gesture, often minimal, sets off a constantly changing dialogue between anthropic construction processes and living matter.
