Vue de l'exposition "Specimen" de Jérôme Stettler à la Ferme de la Chapelle

Jérôme Stettler

Specimens

Drawing occupies a major place in Jérôme Stettler’s work.  On a wall, a table, as a book or  animated, the artists tells scraps of stories set between a constantly changing present and an uncertain future.  In parallel to this exhibition, he has designed a display unit with Philippe Fretz for the seventeen titles published so far by Sonar.  The exhibition marks twenty years of art&fiction, XXaf  and is organised around four axes: ink drawings which were produced in Topia, published on 1st October at art&fiction; two new animated films, Broutage and Haut Plateau; works on paper using a technique inspired by that of scratch cards and, finally, the Sonar collection curated by the Geneva branch of art&fiction of which Jérôme Stettler is a co-director with Philippe Fretz and Christoffer Ellegaard.  Since its creation in 2000, art&fiction has produced, co-produced and distributed artists’ books, a review and catalogues.  It has also organised lectures, conferences and exhibitions.  The activities are financed by the art&fiction Association.
